The base metal has been forged into a beautiful clear blue color with a texture of itame and masame, and the blade pattern is a sagging blade with a hint of nioi and boiling, with a gunome pattern in the middle of the blade, creating a wonderfully elegant blade that is well made.

The mounting is also a gorgeous tachi mounting with matching metal fittings from the end of the Edo period, made of shakudo, adding an extra touch of elegance to this sword by Dewa Daijo Fujiwara Kuniji.
