FabulousMid Century Modern sculpture “Body & Soul,” by artist Brother Jerome Cox. This stunning sculpture depicts a couple entwined in a loving embrace. The work is signed and dated, “J. Cox 70,” at the sculpture’s base along with the manufacturer, Austin Productions, Inc. 1970
Artist Brother Jerome Cox has taught at De La Salle Institute, Chicago, Illinois. He has spent the past 20 years as the Director of the Lasallian International Art/Culture Center near Florence, Italy. Brother Jerome has a Master of Science in Art Education; Master of Arts in School Administration; and Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture.

Brother Jerome’s works are in wood, mixed media, plastic resin, fiberglass, brass, bronze, stainless steel, silver and gold. His works are representational, organic, abstract, and an integration of all of these characteristics.

This retired piece would be a perfect addition for any Austin collector. Contemporary and modern in a beautiful bronze color. At 26 inches high and6.6 inches wide at the shoulders and a 6 inch base, this piececommands front and center attention! Just an extraordinary piece that would be perfect with many décor styles.
