This is a spectacular original oil painting by listed Cuban Venezuelan artist LUIS PERESSOL who is known as EL "MONET" DE LATINO AMERICA" - THE "MONET" OF LATIN AMERICA. He was born in 1927 in the picturesque city of Santiago de Cuba. At the tender age of five, he lost his parents in an earthquake which destroyed most of the city in 1932. When he became a teenager, he immigrated to Venezuela which he adopted as his home. Luis Peressol has been widely recognized all over the world. His work has been in numerous world wide exhibitions, and the San Francisco Museum of Art currently displays one of his works. Seascape of Puerto Rico. Oil (tip spatula) on canvas.
