The American Flag from the USS President Warfield. It was initially owned by a US Sailor stationed aboard the USS President Warfield, which played a critical role in World War II. The ship famously took part in the D-Day Invasion off the coast of Omaha Beach in July 1944, one of the most significant military operations of the war. Afterward, the ship was renamed the SS Exodus and used to transport Jewish refugees out of Europe. The Flag bears the marks of wear and tear from its use at sea, which adds to its authenticity and historical value.

The USS President Warfield (IX-169), originally known as the SS Excambion, was built as a coastal passenger ship in 1928. Later, it was acquired by the US Navy and renamed after William Cabell Bruce Warfield, a Baltimore steamship operator and President of the Maryland State Senate. During World War II, the USS President Warfield served as a troop transport ship and was one of the few ships to remain intact after the D-Day invasion. Following the war, the ship was decommissioned and sold to a private company. In 1947, it became the SS Exodus, carrying Jewish refugees from Europe to Palestine in an attempt to settle in the area. The ship's unsuccessful landing in Palestine caused a diplomatic crisis known as the Exodus 1947 affair.
