You really feel protected with this, like from a bear!...sorta anyway. Great for renactments perhaps or to take hunting in case you need a big old Bowie knife for protection or hunting. I think blade is thick carbon steel that tapers slightly toward the point and handle/guard is aluminum. Unmarked/unknown maker.
