For sale is a Vintage Original 1900s Thomas Mills & Bro Original Blueprints and Drawings. If you are familiar with Thomas Mills you know how historically important these drawings are. This is Thomas's original work from the early 1900s. These are part of one of the largest Thomas Mills collections and I have finally decided to let them go to a new home. There are 16 metal containers all filled with notecards that Thomas used to design his masterpieces. Some of the notes are written on old business cards or scraps of paper because of the paper shortage during ww1. Some of the scraps are even ball tickets from the 1800s. There are hundreds of these cards and every metal container is filled with them but i could only take pictures of so many.
This is what I believe about these cards
Each roller set was handmade so therefor there were little differences from roller to roller. Each card has notes on it such as measurements, differences or drawings. When Thomas made the rollers, he would roll the card through the drop roller to imprint the pattern into the notecard to keep things organized. I believe that every roller produced had its own notecard or set of notecards. If you look closely at the pictures his artwork was truly amazing. These would be great for someone looking to reproduce Thomas's rollers to be as original as possible. This is the first time these have been for sale since the 1960s when my family bought them and it is truly a once in a lifetime chance to buy a piece of American history.
