But he was criticized during his lifetime for manyof his most notable sculpturesbecause theymodeled the human body with realism, and celebrated individual character and physicality as in this sensuous image.And we combine this artistry with the photographic artistry of J. E. Bulloz who's efforts to popularize French artists, especially Auguste Rodin and Claude Monet, around the world, led to the publishing of his images in the form of these vintage French postcards, published in heliotype by Leon Marotte, Paris, France.
