Roman - Byzantine 100 - 300 A.D.A beautiful pair of matching gold Roman earrings, each featuring a gold circular sheet inset with a couple conical garnet framed by granulation. Further intricate granulation decorates the piece and a line of filigree outlines the earring. The hoop is formed from a strand of gold with the terminal enclosed through a loop.
