Great condition. Really cool find! It has the Chronometer Clock AND the original pocket watch that they used with it. This is a collectors item you need!

VINTAGE 1942 HAMILTON MODEL 22 MARINE CHRONOMETER CLOCK AND 1942 U.S. NAVY HAMILTON POCKET WATCHThis chronometer clock and pocket watch set were used together during World War 2. The Model 22 Marine Chronometer Clock was often referred to as a deck watch. It is a 35 size, a 70mm in diameter at the main plate of the movement. It comes in the original mountedbrassgimbalmahoganybox. The dial is always facing up regardless of the position of the box-thus eliminating a cause for timing variation. Accurately measuring time is critically important to navigating.It has 21 jewels, a 12 hour dial, and a mainspring tension.

This 1942 Hamilton pocket watch was used as a Navy comparing watch. Every MarineChronometercame with a comparing watch. The white porcelain dial with black baton style hands gives it a sophisticated look. This authentic pocket watch has 17 jewels, 16 size, 2974B. E movement. The back of the pocket watch is engraved:

COMPARING WATCH

n- 6838-1942"

This would make a wonderful addition to any collection you have! We suggest that if you are not knowledgeableon these times pieces that you do a little research on them. The transportation process can be a tediousone. One should take every care not to rotate it suddenly. The chronometer could gain a second, and damage may be caused. This being the case we will be taking great care in packaging these items for shipment. We will need to package it in separatepieces and lock the time mechanisms in place. We recommend that when you receive your items you take it to a certified watch/clock maker to reassemblethese pieces in the correct manner.
