Unique 18th century German clock. The movement is hand wrought iron with hand wrought wedges to hold the clock together. The dimensions are as follows- Clock with stand, 69" tall, 29" wide and 14" deep. Movement only without pendulum 18" tall, 16" wide and 14" deep. This clock has a crown wheel escapement with an attached pendulum. The movement is sitting on a contemporary wrought iron stand. The clock can be removed for shipping. The clock is inscribed on the great wheel. As best as I can decipher it says the following- ANNO 1789 DISE UHR HAT GEMACHT JOHAN GEORGE FVX DEM ANDREA OSTENBERGER. In 1789 this clock was made by Johan Geor(ge) (not exactly sure here) FVX (unknown) Andrea Ostenberger. The strike train functions, I don't have a bell for this clock. The single hand on the front of the movement is original. I thought it might look good to put a clear dial on the clock with hour markers to read the time.Shipping/Delivery - I will deliver the clock within a reasonable area for a reasonable fee. I will also meet someone half way if that works. The clock can be shipped, it will just be bulky because of the stand. I have done this in the past. Price depends on weight and number of boxes. Pallet shipping is best as there are no problems with other items being stacked on it.I entered the weight and dimensions for shipping and the system didn't know what to do.I will ship internationally. Buyer is responsible for all shipping and paperwork needed. I will ship only the clock movement if that is desired.
