Offering here an incredibly handsome antique early Edwardian English sterling silver watch fob - pendant - jewel - medal.
It's hallmarked with a lion passant indicating that's it's made of sterling. There's also a hallmark for Birmingham England for the office where it was assayed.
Fobs like this one were originally used as decorations on a gentleman's watch chain and later went on to become popular as award medals and are highly sought after by a great number of collectors today.
The year date hallmark is for 1910 or earlier - unresearched.
The weight of the pendant is approximately 15.6 grams.
It's approximately 3 5/8" long including the bail but not the jump ring. It's approximately 1 5/8" at the widest point.
It's in good condition with no issues other than normal signs of wear and use which includes small surface scratches, and is uncleaned with patina and a bit dirty.
