This exceptional antique George IV Irish sterling silver teapot has a circular rounded form onto four impressive Regency style feet. The lower portion of the body of this fine teapot is embellished with fine and impressive chased opposing scroll bordered floral and foliate designs on a matte background. The decoration to the body incorporates an impressive vacant shaped cartouche to either side, each uniquely bordered with chased scroll and stylised leaf ornamentation. The cover retains the original exceptional gourd and leaf style finial. This Irish silver teapot is fitted with an impressive sterling silver C shaped handle with an applied leaf decorated thumb piece.
